FALL 2025 GRADUATE ORIENTATION
Congratulations on your acceptance to graduate school at Florida International University!
Graduate Orientation provides new students with general information about graduate policies and procedures and an opportunity to get to know UGS staff, university departments and graduate student organizations. All Graduate Orientation events provide a forum for asking questions related to graduate-specific services.
Graduate Orientation is highly encouraged and open to all new graduate students admitted for the Fall 2025 term.
Some academic units may also hold their own departmental orientations. Please contact your academic program for more information.
Part I: Online Orientation
Please complete the online orientation modules by logging in with your FIU credentials. These modules include in-depth information on academics, student life, campus resources, financial aid, campus safety, and next steps.
**Information covered in these modules is critical and will not be repeated in Part II.
Online Graduate Orientation Instructions:

– Select “Student login”
– You must enter your FIU username and password
Part II: Welcome Session

Week of Welcome: Graduate Resource Fair & Student Mixer

Part III: Research Integrity, Dissertation/Thesis Milestones and Funding
(For PhD/EdD/DBA students and thesis-bound MA/MS students only)
