Secretarial support for the Associate Deans and other administrative staff - maintains calendar, schedules appointments, meetings, travel, etc.; serves as main contact for the UGS's dean's office front desk; and processes the paperwork for Graduate faculty/dissertation advisor status, faculty credentials validation for non-tenure track faculty who teach graduate courses, and graduate academic grievances; assists with the Graduate Open House, Graduate Orientation; and performs day to day general office support.

Supervises all administrative areas of the University Graduate School including Recruitment and Admissions, Fellowship and Graduate Assistantship programs, Budget, Dissertation and Thesis submission.
Supervises Graduate Admissions: Oversees processing staff and evaluators to ensure that applications and supporting documentation are received, scanned, evaluated and referred to the departments in a timely manner; and manages the issuance of student visa documents for international students.
Supervises UGS staff to provide academic support services to graduate students and faculty, i.e. advising students, faculty, and administrators on the interpretation and implementation of current or new policies and procedures; counseling students concerning graduate policies and graduation requirements; auditing requests submitted to the UGS such as petitions for exception to graduate policies, change of graduate programs, admission waivers, transfer of credits.

Manages the front office admissions staff and call center to provide prospective and continuing students with information on our graduate programs and policies and procedures; maintains Graduate Program Directors list serve; handles general graduate admission issues; and assists with orientation, open house and other recruitment events.
Administers the day-to-day operations for submission of dissertations and theses, petitions for exceptions/waivers, and change of graduate program requests; serves as liaison to the Registrar's office in handling registration/graduation issues; processes petition for exception/waiver of admission standards requests, change of graduate program requests, advancement to candidacy, commencement ceremonies; and counsels academic departments about academic policies and graduate procedures.
Administers the graduate assistantship awards and tuition waivers for all GA's, TA's and RA's; coordinates the Presidential, the Dissertation Year Fellowship programs and other Graduate Assistantships; works closely with all graduate departments in processing GA awards and contracts and facilitates the medical health insurance coverage (with a contracted provider) for all graduate assistants and fellows who qualify.
