Orientation is open to all graduate students admitted for the fall 2014 semester. If you are an international student, you must attend a mandatory Orientation for international students. Please contact International Student Services for additional information, or click here.
The University Graduate School's Orientation is not mandatory; however, we strongly encourage you to attend. Individual academic units may also hold their own departmental orientation. Please contact your academic program to inquire about this. Business and Hospitality will hold their own Graduate Orientation. Graduate students in those areas should contact their respective program managers for more information.
Online Graduate Orientation:
For your convenience, the Graduate Orientation is available online. In order to access the Online Orientation, you must follow the link provided on the email invitation announcing the Online Orientation, which was sent to all admitted students on Friday, August 15. The Online Orientation will be available until November 1st, 2014.
Although the University Graduate School's Orientation is not mandatory, we strongly encourage you to visit this online program, as it includes important information pertaining to your graduate studies, and resources available to you to ensure your success in your graduate career at FIU.
In order to obtain your FIU One Card Photo ID, you must have a government-issued photo ID and know your Panther ID number. Students must be registered for classes before they can obtain a Photo ID. For hours of operation, please visit the FIU One Card website.
Graduate Orientation Fee
To cover the cost of Graduate Orientation, you have been assessed a $35 orientation fee upon admission.

Important Information for Housing Students
If you are an on-campus housing student, please be sure to contact the Housing Office. Please direct all housing inquiries to the Housing Office at (305)348-4190 or via the Live Chat button on the Housing website. The main Housing Office is located in the University Park Towers room 121, and is open Monday-Friday from 8am to 5pm.
