“A major goal of higher education is to create lifelong learners – intentional, independent, self-directed learners who can acquire, retain, and retrieve new knowledge on their own.” In this one-hour workshop, we will discuss techniques and strategies on developing self-regulated learners in our classes and work on integrating them into our classes. The session will be informed by Linda Nilson’s book, Creating Self-Regulated Learners.
